Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Solera is an exceptionally distinct and innovative Speyside single malt Scotch whisky that showcases the revolutionary Solera process pioneered by Glenfiddich in 1998. This rich, complex spirit is matured in three distinct types of oak casks: European oak sherry, American bourbon, and brand-new virgin oak casks. After fifteen years, these whiskies are married together in a massive, handcrafted Douglas Fir Solera Vat that is kept permanently at least half-full, a method inspired by the sherry bodegas of Spain. This continuous marriage ensures an incredibly harmonious profile, infusing the whisky with deep layers of warm spice, honey, and rich fruit that make it stand out as a true benchmark of modern malt craftsmanship.
