Glenburgie 2011 12 Year Old

Glenburgie 2011 is a vintage-dated Speyside single malt distilled at the historic Glenburgie Distillery in Forres. Highly sought after by independent bottlers (such as Signatory Vintage, Gordon & MacPhail, Douglas Laing, and The Ultimate) due to the distillery’s limited official single-malt releases, this vintage represents Glenburgie's vibrant, ester-rich house style. Matured for over a decade in select casks—frequently first-fill or refill ex-bourbon hogsheads and sherry butts—it showcases a rich balance of orchard fruits, sweet honeyed malt, vanilla cream, and delicate oak spice.

Food Pairing: Pairs well with apple tart, roasted chicken with peach glaze, poached pears, mild cheddar cheese, or shortbread.

Tasting Notes: A bright, fruit-forward Speyside single malt featuring notes of crisp red apples, ripe pears, heather honey, sweet vanilla cream, and soft wood spice.

Nose: Fresh and aromatic with notes of sweet red apple, poached pear, citrus zest, floral honey, and vanilla bean.

Palate: Smooth and creamy on the palate with layers of honeyed cereal malt, butterscotch, orchard fruits, orange oil, and gentle oak spice.

Finish: Medium in length, clean, and sweet with lingering notes of crisp fruit, vanilla, and warm oak.

Serve: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn glass, or add a few drops of spring water to open up its delicate orchard fruit and floral honey layers.
