About the The GlenAllachie 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 2 54.8% ABV 700ml
This bottling has been aged for 10 years in a mixture of casks, which included virgin oak, Oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximénez sherry and first-fill Bourbon.
The result is a well-balanced and sophisticated whisky, serving up flavours of almond, vanilla, liquorice, green apple, honey, malt, toffee, pear, dried fruits, sultanas, butter, dark chocolate, buttered corn, old oak and mango.
The whisky has been bottled at a powerful 54.8% ABV, and without chill filtration or colouration.
An excellent example of the Speyside distillery’s spirit, which illustrates the benefits of multiple cask aging.
