About the Glen Garrioch 32 Year Old 1988 Family Reserve 42.3% 700ml
An exceptional single malt here, distilled in October 1988 at Glen Garioch and matured in a single bourbon barrel for a whopping 32 years. In August 2021, the whisky was bottled up to become the inaugural release of independent bottler Càrn Mòr's Family Reserve series – appropriately named as this particular cask was hand-selected by Brian Morrison, whose family owned the distillery in the eighties. This personal connection ensures that this right here is a top-notch example of the whisky that Glen Garioch and the Morrison family were proudly producing at the time, when it was one of the forerunners in carrying out in-house malting and peating.
