Signatory Vintage Symington's Choice Glen Elgin 1991 33 Year Old Cask #4072

Signatory Vintage "Symington's Choice" Glen Elgin 1991 33 Year Old (Cask No. 4072) is an ultra-rare, single-cask release hand-selected by Andrew Symington, founder of Signatory Vintage. Distilled in 1991 at the Glen Elgin Distillery in Speyside and matured for 33 full years in a single 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt (Cask No. 4072), this exceptional bottling represents the pinnacle of long-term sherry maturation. Bottled at its natural cask strength without chill filtration or artificial coloring, it offers a deeply concentrated mahogany profile where Glen Elgin's waxy, fruit-forward distillate seamlessly merges with rich, antique sherry depth.

Food Pairing: Pairs exceptionally well with dark chocolate ganache, aged Gouda, sticky toffee pudding, venison tenderloin with blackberry reduction, or as a standalone meditative digestif.

Tasting Notes: A deeply complex, well-aged single malt featuring notes of dark chocolate, stewed raisins, antique leather, orange marmalade, espresso bean, and polished oak woodiness.

Nose: Intense and fragrant aromas of dark raisins, dried figs, candied orange peel, beeswax, dark cocoa, pipe tobacco, and polished mahogany woodiness.

Palate: Full-bodied, rich, and oily on the palate with layers of black cherry compote, brown sugar, espresso bean, clove, dark honey, and refined wood tannins.

Finish: Exceptionally long, warm, and lingering with persistent dark fruit syrup, cocoa nibs, soft citrus oil, and lingering oak spice.

Serve: Best enjoyed neat in a Glencairn glass or copita after allowing it to breathe for several minutes to reveal its complex 33-year maturation layers.
