Master of Malt Girvan 1985 40 Year Old

Girvan 40 Year Old Single Grain Scotch Whisky is an extraordinary, ultra-rare well-aged expression distilled at the Girvan Distillery in South Ayrshire. Distilled via Girvan’s famous patent multi-column stills and matured for four decades in oak casks, this expression showcases the pinnacle of grain whisky aging. Bottled at natural cask strength without chill filtration or artificial coloring, it offers a silky, complex profile overflowing with caramelized sugars, polished antique oak, dark vanilla bean, dried tropical fruits, and delicate baking spices.

Food Pairing: Pairs exceptionally well with crème brûlée, pecan pie, dark chocolate truffles, aged Gouda cheese, and roasted duck breast with orange glaze.

Tasting Notes: An exquisitely smooth and deeply layered single grain whisky featuring notes of dark caramel, toasted coconut, dried mango, vanilla pod, and rich antique wood spice.

Nose: Fragrant aromas of toasted coconut, polished oak, butterscotch, dried mango, orange peel, and rich vanilla bean.

Palate: Velvety, soft, and round on the palate with layers of caramelized sugar, honeyed grain, candied citrus, dark chocolate, and subtle cinnamon spice.

Finish: Exceptionally long, warm, and elegant with lingering notes of sweet vanilla cream, toasted wood, and gentle spice.

Serve: Enjoy neat in a Glencairn glass or copita after allowing it to breathe for a few minutes to reveal its complex 40-year maturation layers.
