Girard Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

The 2021 Girard Cabernet Sauvignon is a quintessential Napa Valley red, sourced from a diverse selection of vineyards including the volcanic soils of Atlas Peak and the valley floor of St. Helena. The 2021 vintage is characterized by exceptional concentration and structural integrity due to a dry growing season that produced smaller, flavor-dense berries. This blend is predominantly 91% Cabernet Sauvignon, supplemented with small amounts of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot to add aromatic complexity and mid-palate weight. Aged for 16 months in French oak (40% new), the wine displays a deep ruby color and an inviting bouquet of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and hints of dried herbs. On the palate, it is full-bodied with firm, integrated tannins and layers of blackberry, cocoa nibs, and toasted cedar, finishing with a bright, persistent acidity.
