About the Gordon & MacPhail Private Collection Mortlach 1969 50.7% ABV 750ml
Aromatic ginger and brown sugar aromas combine, giving way to rich cocoa beans. A subtle vanilla edge develops alongside succulent fruitcake and roasted almond notes. Smooth and rich; flavours of ripe forest fruits and fragrant blood orange peel are complemented by subtle traces of white pepper. Cinnamon comes to the fore alongside intense dark chocolate with mature oak. Long and smooth with lingering chocolate smothered almonds and oak tannins.
