About the Futures Domaine de Chevalier Rouge
Crafted in the esteemed Pessac-Léognan appellation of Bordeaux, Domaine de Chevalier Rouge is a legendary Grand Cru Classé de Graves red wine celebrated for its remarkable elegance, complexity, and age-worthiness. Under the stewardship of the Bernard family and managed by Olivier Bernard, the estate benefits from a unique microclimate surrounded by dense pine forests that protect its dark gravel and clay-limestone soils. Hand-harvested with rigorous optical sorting, the wine undergoes plot-by-plot fermentation in oak and stainless steel vats before aging for 18 to 20 months in French oak barrels (approximately 35% new), building a seamless balance between pure dark fruit, refined structure, and stony minerality.
Food Pairing: Roasted rack of lamb, prime ribeye steak, braised short ribs, roasted duck breast, mushroom risotto, and aged hard cheeses.
