About the Futures Chateau Tronquoy 1.5L Magnum
Crafted in the esteemed Saint-Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux, Château Tronquoy (formerly known as Château Tronquoy-Lalande) is one of the oldest and most historic estates in the region. Owned by the Bouygues family—who also own neighbor Château Montrose—the estate has undergone significant modernization and investment in both its vineyards and gravity-fed cellars. Sourced from a high hill of deep Gunzian gravel over a clay subsoil, the vineyard benefits from excellent natural drainage and maritime temperature regulation from the nearby Gironde estuary. Featuring a high proportion of Merlot alongside Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, the wine is aged in French oak barriques to deliver a Saint-Estèphe of notable richness, supple texture, and classic structural depth.
Food Pairing: Grilled ribeye steak, roasted rack of lamb, duck breast with berry reduction, braised short ribs, and mature hard cheeses.
