Bache Gabrielsen BGW French Whisky Single Malt 5 Years Old 700ml

Bache-Gabrielsen BGW is a 100% French single malt whisky aged for five years. Made from French barley, it undergoes double maturation: first in American oak casks previously used for Bache-Gabrielsen Cognac, followed by maturation in casks that previously held the house’s Très Vieux Pineau des Charentes. This unusual maturation gives the whisky a light, rounded and fruit-forward character.

Food Pairing:Pairs well with soft cheeses, foie gras and dried-fruit desserts. It also works particularly well alongside fruit-based dishes and desserts.

Tasting Notes:Yellow-amber in colour with a light, floral and rounded profile featuring fresh and cooked fruits, floral notes and honey.

Nose:Fresh hay accompanied by stewed fruit aromas.

Palate:Light and floral with ripe yellow-fruit notes, including pear and mirabelle plum.

Finish:Elegant and lingering with a delicate note of acacia honey.

Serve:Enjoy neat at approximately 16–18°C, or use in fruit-forward whisky cocktails.
