About the Michael David Winery Freakshow Cabernet Sauvignon 2021/2022
Michael David Winery Freakshow Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold, muscular, and deeply expressive red wine that delivers plenty of personality. Affectionately known as the "Strongest Man on Earth," it greets the nose with an alluring show of ripe blackberry, dark cherry pie, raspberry preserves, and toasted hazelnut, accented by French oak notes of vanilla and brown sugar. On the palate, it is medium-to-full-bodied and robust yet smoothly balanced, offering rich layers of juicy dark fruits, Mission figs, and baking spices like clove and cinnamon. Soft, velvety tannins and well-integrated acidity carry it through to a long, oak-kissed finish.
Food Pairing: This rich and fruit-forward Cabernet Sauvignon calls for savory, hearty foods that match its brawny profile. It pairs excellently with well-marbled grilled ribeye or New York strip steaks, gourmet bacon cheeseburgers, braised beef short ribs, and smoked barbecue brisket. It also complements comfort dishes like sweet and spicy sloppy joes, wood-fired peppered pizzas, and aged cheeses such as sharp cheddar or Gouda.
