The robe is a little denser than that of the Pommard, beautifully lit. Delicate, airy and refined nose; a hint of raspberry, surrounded by flowers – rose in bloom, peony with delightful sweetness, hyacinth. Tomato and cherry jam, subtle quince paste and marmalade marked with an ounce of apricot, mild smoke, cinnamon, brown sugar and crème brûlée, candyfloss and glorious marshmallows, apple seeds, pomegranate seeds, the sweetness of chocolate cream, milk chocolate.

Full-bodied and supple on the palate; sour cherry, wild cherry; omnipresent pepper – pink pepper, Sichuan pepper; plum, quail or pigeon blood, energy, notes of iron and steel wool, spicy energy again and the invigorating bitterness of rocket, plum, damson, notes of sloe alcohol, slivovitz.

The finish is beautifully focused; a very demonstrative limestone minerality; the mineral quality is extended and focused; the rock gives length; plum, violet and bark, a touch of charcoal, clinker.
