Forty Creek Heritage Limited Edition 2017

Forty Creek Heritage is the distillery’s 11th annual limited-edition Canadian whisky, released in 2017. Inspired by Forty Creek’s early Three Grain whisky, it combines individually distilled corn, rye and barley whiskies selected by Master Blender Bill Ashburn. The blend is finished in heavily toasted American oak barrels to emphasize grain character, spice and oak complexity. It is bottled at 40% ABV.

Food Pairing:Pairs well with roasted meats, aged cheddar, toasted nuts, gingerbread, dark chocolate, caramel desserts and fruit-based desserts.

Tasting Notes:A rich and grain-forward Canadian whisky with a creamy texture, combining fruit, vanilla, toasted oak, nuttiness and rye spice.

Nose:Fruity aromas with ginger-spiced rye, toffee, fresh oak, cinnamon, citrus and caramel.

Palate:Rich and buttery with creamy vanilla, toffee, toasted nuts, dark chocolate and warming rye spice.

Finish:Long and spicy with ginger, rye spice, toasted oak and a slightly tart sandalwood character.

Serve:Enjoy neat, with a small amount of water or over ice.
