Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Morgeot' 2024 is a rich, powerful, and impeccably balanced white Burgundy originating from the historic 'Morgeot' climat, one of the most famous Premier Cru vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet. Sourced from mature Chardonnay vines planted on deep, clay-limestone soils, this wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged in French oak barrels (around 30% new). In the glass, it presents a shimmering yellow-gold color and opens with generous aromas of ripe orchard peach, yellow plum, candied citrus, and toasted hazelnut, underpinned by subtle crushed stone minerality. On the palate, it is full-bodied, muscular, and textural, delivering a mouth-filling core of fruit nicely balanced by a vein of crisp acidity and a long, warm, spice-tinged finish.
