Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Grande Montagne' 2024 is an exquisite, highly structured white Burgundy sourced from old Chardonnay vines located in the steep, upper slopes of the 'Grande Montagne' climat in Chassagne-Montrachet. Positioned near the top of the hill with thin, stony limestone soils, this site produces grapes of intense concentration and remarkable minerality. Vinified with native yeasts and aged in French oak barrels (around 30% new), the wine opens with vibrant aromatics of white peach, citrus zest, acacia blossom, crushed flint, and a hint of warm brioche. On the palate, it exhibits fantastic precision, a silken texture, and driving acidity, leading into a long, mineral-driven, and elegant finish.
