About the Flowers Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2023
Flowers Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2023 is an energetic and critically acclaimed white wine, recently honored as #43 on Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of 2024. Sourced from organically farmed coastal vineyards, this vintage is defined by its vibrant "electric" energy and a distinct saline minerality. The nose opens with delicate aromas of lemon blossom, white peach, and flint, while the palate offers a tension-filled mix of pomelo, yuzu, and kaffir lime leaf. Aged for 10 months in 18% new French oak, it balances a plush texture with a firm, linear acidity and a long, savory finish marked by hints of almond skin and sea salt.

The aromas of honeysuckle, subtle green apples and pears are delightful. Medium-bodied with a lively phenolic texture and flavors of limes, umami and sea salt. Crunchy, too. An energetic chardonnay.

The 2023 Chardonnay Sonoma Coast was matured for 10 months in 18% new French oak. It has layered aromas of peach, panna cotta, lemon peel, baked bread and flint. The medium-bodied palate has a silky texture and is bursting with citrusy flavors. It’s driven by firm, linear acidity and has a long, expressive finish.
