Florentis Vin Santo Italian Whisky 700ml

Florentis Vin Santo is an artisanal Tuscan malt whisky produced by Winestillery, the Chioccioli Altadonna family project in Tuscany. It is made from Italian barley, rye and wheat, fermented spontaneously for six days in terracotta amphorae and single-distilled in a hybrid copper Frilli pot still. The whisky is matured in Tuscan oak casks previously used for Vin Santo, giving it a distinctive combination of malt, dried fruit, nuts and sweet wine-cask character.

Food Pairing:Pairs particularly well with aged cheeses and dry Italian pastries or biscuits; these pairings complement the whisky’s dried-fruit, nut and sweet Vin Santo character.

Tasting Notes:Intense amber in appearance with a smooth, velvety character influenced by maturation in Vin Santo wine casks.

Nose:Honey, toasted almond, dried fruit and vanilla, with additional warm sweet-spice character.

Palate:Velvety and rounded, showing dried-fruit sweetness, honeyed character, toasted almond and warm vanilla notes.

Finish:Persistent, with lingering caramel and subtle light tobacco notes.

Serve:Best enjoyed neat at room temperature or with a small amount of water.
