The First Editions Benrinnes 15 Year Old 2007 Refill Hogshead #HL19596

The First Editions Benrinnes 15 Year Old is a limited single-cask Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at Benrinnes Distillery in 2007 and bottled in 2022 by Hunter Laing’s The First Editions range. Matured for 15 years in a single refill hogshead, Cask #HL19596, it was bottled at its natural 55.6% ABV cask strength, without added colouring or chill filtration. Only 277 bottles were produced. 

Food Pairing: Roast chicken, pork tenderloin, creamy cheeses, apple tart, lemon cake or toasted almonds.

Tasting Notes: Fresh, fruity and floral with buttery malt, citrus and orchard fruit supported by a substantial, weighty texture.

Nose: Buttery and lemony with cake batter and delicate apple blossom.

Palate: Fruity and floral with crisp malted-barley character and the naturally weighty texture associated with Benrinnes.

Finish: Long, fresh and moreish with lingering malt and fruit.

Serve: Enjoy neat and allow it to open in the glass. At 55.6% ABV, a few drops of water can reveal more citrus, fruit and malty sweetness.
