This exceptional vintage comes from the Fiji Islands, where it has been carefully crafted from molasses fermented for 4 to 5 days and distilled in columns. Aged for 17 years in Bourbon barrels, this rum has benefited from a rare and original finish in Umeshu barrels, a Japanese fruity liqueur, giving delicate and refined nuances to this spirit.
Exceptional maturation for a rare experience
After its long maturation in a tropical climate, this rum was transferred to France, where it was matured for another 3 years, first in Ferrand barrels, then in Umeshu barrels. This finish gives the Planteray - Single Cask Fiji Islands Vintage 2004 unique aromas of ripe fruit, reminiscent of apricot, and elegant woody touches.
A limited edition for collectors
Made in limited quantities, this rum is a real collector's item. Each bottle is a unique expression, highlighting the know-how of Alexandre Gabriel, recognized as one of the best Master Blenders in the world.
