Claxton’s Warehouse No. 1 Fettercairn 13 Year Old is a single-cask Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at Fettercairn on 31 October 2008 and bottled in 2022. Matured for 13 years in a 1st Fill Bourbon Barrel, Cask #C22036, it was bottled by independent bottler Claxton’s at its natural 54.1% ABV cask strength. Only 229 bottles were produced. The Bourbon maturation highlights Fettercairn’s fruity character, bringing tropical and orchard fruits together with vanilla, honey, creamy malt and gentle oak spice.

Food Pairing: Roast chicken, glazed pork, aged Gouda, apple tart, vanilla cheesecake or toasted almonds.

Tasting Notes: Fresh and fruit-driven with tropical fruit, orchard fruit and creamy vanilla complemented by honey, malt and warming Bourbon-oak spice.

Nose: Mango, pear and green apple with vanilla, honey and creamy malt.

Palate: Tropical fruit and baked pineapple with citrus, vanilla, pastry and gentle oak spice.

Finish: Long and fruity with creamy vanilla, malt, tropical fruit and lingering wood spice.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature. At 54.1% ABV, a few drops of water can help reveal additional tropical fruit, vanilla and honeyed sweetness.
