Francesco Rinaldi & Figli Barolo Cannubi 2020 pours a beautiful garnet red color with soft orange highlights at the rim. The nose is remarkably complex and highly expressive, opening with intense primary aromas of macerated red cherries, ripe plum jam, kirsch, and fresh rose petals, seamlessly layered with notes of sweet baking spices, tobacco, leather, anise, and a unique minty, herbal freshness. On the palate, this full-bodied and robust Piedmontese red showcases an iron fist in a velvet glove structure. Taut, muscular tannins and a vibrant core of zesty acidity envelope dark berry fruit, blood orange zest, and complex mineral undertones, driving into an exceptionally long, persistent, and savory finish.
