In less than a decade, Aquilini has become the largest vineyard holder on Red Mountain, with plantings on more than one-eighth of the appellation's total acreage. This is their top bottling. The aromas bring notes of chafed wheat, baker's chocolate and cherry. There's intensity to the flavors as well as the appellation's fulsome tannins, that are quite intense at present. But there's sophistication, too. Best after 2028.
