Elena Walch Lagrein 2025 is a vibrant, elegant, and intensely colored natural red wine crafted by the renowned family-run estate Elena Walch. Sourced from warmer, southeast- and southwest-facing vineyard sites situated on calcareous soils mixed with clay and sand in Alto Adige, it undergoes traditional temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, followed by malolactic fermentation and maturation in large French and Slavonian oak barrels. In the glass, it displays an inviting, dense garnet red hue with violet reflections. The complex nose reveals aromas of sweet cherries, wild berries, cocoa, and subtle spicy undertones. On the palate, it is full and smooth with a distinctive, well-structured tannic backbone, balanced by lively youthful freshness, concentrated fruit, and a long, juicy finish.
