Elena Gin Dry Gin in Langa Style

Elena Gin Dry Gin in Langa Style is an artisanal craft spirit produced in Piedmont, Italy, by winemaker Elena Penna Currado Vietti. Distilled in small batches using 18th-century wood-fired copper pot stills, this expression combines single-shot distillation, maceration, and percolation. The recipe uses pure wheat neutral spirit and wild, handpicked botanicals sourced from the Langa hills and Maritime Alps. Ingredients include Alpine juniper, almond, Langa thyme, coriander, black elderflower, wild mint, chamomile, angelica, and regional citrus peel. Unfiltered by chemical resins or bleaching carbons, it retains a natural pale straw tint.

Food Pairing: Vitello tonnato, prosciutto di Parma, aged Parmigiano-Reggiano, herb-crusted grilled fish, and rosemary focaccia.

Tasting Notes: Subtle pale yellow-straw hue with a rich, dense, and slightly oily mouthfeel.

Nose: Intensely aromatic, opening with resinous Alpine juniper, wild mountain mint, and sweet herbal thyme, supported by soft white florals and citrus blossom.

Palate: Opulent and structured on the palate, featuring crisp juniper needle and earthy angelica, balancing into zesty citrus peel, almond richness, and lingering mint leaf.

Finish: Long, dry, and botanical with lingering notes of wild chamomile, warm pepper spice, and a clean herbal trail.

Serve: Serve over ice, top with neutral Indian tonic water garnished with a lemon twist or sprig of fresh thyme, or build into a Dry Martini, Hanky Panky, or Negroni.
