El Tesoro Anejo Tequila

El Tesoro Añejo Tequila is a highly acclaimed, masterfully crafted aged tequila that highlights the generational expertise of the Camarena family at the historic La Alteña distillery in the Jalisco highlands. Made from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave, the pinas are slow-cooked in traditional brick ovens and crushed using a two-ton volcanic stone tahona wheel. Following open-air fermentation and double distillation to proof in copper pot stills, this expression is matured for two to three years in hand-selected American oak ex-bourbon barrels. This extended aging process strikes a sublime balance between the vibrant, mineral-forward character of the agave and the rich, complex wood notes imparted by the oak.

Food Pairing: Pairs brilliantly with slow-braised carnitas, dark chocolate desserts, grilled ribeye steak with chimichurri, or aged cheeses like Gouda.

TASTING NOTES - A clear, warm amber color with a remarkably smooth, rich, and full-bodied mouthfeel.

NOSE - Deep and inviting, featuring prominent aromas of sweet cooked agave, warm vanilla, and butterscotch, layered with dry floral notes, jasmine, and a touch of oak.

PALATE - Highly complex on the tongue, balancing the sweetness of cooked agave and maple syrup with dark chocolate, toasted almonds, dried fruit, and a gentle black pepper spice.
