Edradour 11 Year Old 2014 St. Michael-Eppan Lagrein Cask Matured

Edradour 11 Year Old St. Michael-Eppan Lagrein is a limited Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled on 16 May 2014 and bottled on 27 June 2025. The whisky spent its 11-year maturation in two first-fill Lagrein red wine casks from St. Michael-Eppan, the acclaimed winery in South Tyrol, Italy. Bottled at 48.2% ABV, without added colouring or chill filtration, the release produced only 1,710 bottles. The Lagrein casks give Edradour’s robust malt character a rich red-fruit influence, bringing together plum, raspberry, dark cherry, chocolate, creamy toffee and warming spice.

Food Pairing: Roast duck, braised beef, mature cheddar, dark chocolate, cherry tart or roasted almonds.

Tasting Notes: Rich and fruit-forward with ripe red berries, dark cherry and plum balanced by creamy malt, chocolate, toffee and warming oak spice.

Nose: Fresh plum and ripe red berries with citrus zest, floral honey and gentle oak.

Palate: Raspberry, dark cherry and sweet malt with creamy vanilla, toffee and warming spice.

Finish: Long and fruit-driven with jammy berries, dark chocolate, baking spice and a gently drying oak character.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature. A few drops of water can soften the wine-derived tannins and bring forward additional fruit and creamy sweetness.
