Edradour 15 Year Old 2010 Quinta de São Francisco Estremadura Wine Cask Finish

Edradour 15 Year Old Quinta de São Francisco is a cask-strength Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2025. After its initial maturation, the whisky received an extended 33-month finish in first-fill hogsheads previously seasoned with Licoroso-style fortified wine from Quinta de São Francisco in Portugal’s historic Estremadura region. Bottled at a natural 57.7% ABV, the wine casks bring deep dark-fruit character to Edradour’s robust spirit, with layers of figs, plums, cherries, chocolate, nuts and mature oak.

Food Pairing: Dark chocolate, fruit cake, roasted hazelnuts, mature cheese, plum tart or slow-roasted beef.

Tasting Notes: Rich and full-bodied with concentrated dark fruits, jammy sweetness, chocolate and toasted nuts balanced by wine-driven tannins and mature oak.

Nose: Figs, prunes, raisins and black cherries with rich fruit sweetness and subtle oak.

Palate: Full and silky with fruit cake, plum jam, dark chocolate and toasted hazelnuts alongside the rich fortified-wine influence.

Finish: Long and structured with red berries, cherries and grape skin followed by tobacco, leather and lingering oak.

Serve: Enjoy neat after allowing it to rest in the glass. At 57.7% ABV, a few drops of water can help open the dark fruit and chocolate character.
