Edradour 12 Year Old 2013 Cask Strength Batch #7 Oloroso Sherry Butts

Edradour 12 Year Old Cask Strength Batch #7 is a richly sherried Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2025. Matured entirely in a selection of first-fill and second-fill Oloroso Sherry butts, the whisky was bottled at its natural 59% ABV cask strength. The batch combines ten casks and produced 6,402 bottles, delivering Edradour’s full-bodied character with concentrated dried fruit, chocolate, nuts, toffee and warming oak spice.

Food Pairing: Dark chocolate, fruit cake, roasted nuts, mature cheddar, sticky toffee pudding or slow-roasted beef.

Tasting Notes: Intensely sherried and full-bodied, combining dark dried fruits, chocolate and toffee with roasted nuts, warming spices and mature oak.

Nose: Raisins, dates and dark fruit with cocoa, roasted nuts, leather, cinnamon and orange zest.

Palate: Rich and powerful with figs, toffee, candied almonds and dark cherries, followed by cocoa, espresso and warming oak spice.

Finish: Long and warming with bitter chocolate, nuts, Sherry sweetness, spice and lingering seasoned oak.

Serve: Best enjoyed neat after resting in the glass. At 59% ABV, a small amount of water can help open the whisky and reveal more fruit, chocolate and spice.
