D'USSÉ XO Cognac is an ultra-premium, modern masterpiece of French luxury that bridges 200 years of traditional Cognac heritage with contemporary, avant-garde style. Co-founded by Shawn "JAY-Z" Carter and produced at the historic, sovereign Château de Cognac (one of France's oldest Cognac houses), it is meticulously crafted by legendary Cellar Master Michel Casavecchia.

The liquid is a hand-selected blend of rare eaux-de-vie that have been aged for a minimum of ten years in French oak barrels. Casavecchia utilizes the Château's unique, dual-climate aging cellars—marrying the humid barrels near the Charente River (which imparts smoothness and fruit) with dry upper cellars (which build intense structure and wood spice). It is presented in a striking, opaque black glass decanter adorned with the iconic, metallic silver Cross of Lorraine—a historic French symbol of courage and honor.

Food Pairing: Rich dark chocolate fudge, roasted walnuts, a fine maduro cigar, or a slow-roasted duck breast with a blackberry reduction.

TASTING NOTES Deep, rich mahogany amber in color with a heavy, velvety, and exceptionally silky mouthfeel that coats the palate with zero aggressive spirit burn.

NOSE Sultry, warm, and highly aromatic; opens with deep, woody notes of matured French oak and dark roasted coffee beans, elegantly interlaced with rich caramel, sweet vanilla, clove spice, and a fragrant touch of dried violet blossoms.

PALATE Remarkably complex and dessert-forward on the tongue; initial, decadent waves of dark chocolate mocha, toffee, and torched banana seamlessly evolve into a rich, nutty mid-palate featuring ripe blackberries, dark plums, walnuts, and aged leather.
