Duncan Taylor The Octave Tullibardine 10 Year Old 2013

Duncan Taylor The Octave Tullibardine 10 Year Old is a limited Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at Tullibardine Distillery in 2013 and independently bottled by Duncan Taylor. Matured for 10 years in oak casks, the whisky received additional maturation in Duncan Taylor’s small Octave casks before being bottled at 52.5% ABV. This particular release was bottled specially for Whisky Drop’s Enthusiast Club, with an outturn of only 90 bottles. 

Food Pairing: Apple crumble, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, mature cheddar, shortbread or caramel-based desserts.

Tasting Notes: Rich and warming with creamy sweetness, baked fruit and Sherry-influenced fruit character balanced by pepper and oak spice.

Nose: Pepper, hot chocolate, freshly baked biscuits and rich clotted cream.

Palate: Caramel-coated apple and Sherried fruits accompanied by warming oak spices.

Finish: Medium in length with lingering oak spice followed by a final touch of plum jam.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature, allowing it several minutes to open in the glass. A few drops of water can soften the strength and bring forward its fruit and creamy sweetness.
