Duncan Taylor The Octave GlenAllachie 16 Year Old is a limited Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky distilled at The GlenAllachie Distillery in 2008 and bottled by Duncan Taylor in 2024. Matured for 16 years and given additional maturation in Duncan Taylor’s small Octave casks, this release was bottled at 53.7% ABV. The extended maturation combines GlenAllachie’s rich Speyside malt character with concentrated fruit, cocoa, spice and oak influence.

Food Pairing: Dark chocolate, fruit cake, roasted nuts, mature cheddar, apple crumble or sticky toffee pudding.

Tasting Notes: Rich and mature with spiced orchard fruit, dark fruit and cocoa alongside dried herbs, vanilla and warming oak spice.

Nose: Mulled fruit, spiced apple and plum with cocoa and a subtle smoky note.

Palate: Dried heather and pipe tobacco with a touch of salinity and red stone fruit in the background.

Finish: Long and warming with dark cherry chocolate, vanilla biscuit, nutmeg and cinnamon.

Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature first, then add a few drops of water to open the fruit, cocoa and spice character.
