Duncan Taylor Single Cask Bunnahabhain 2008 13 Year Old Cask #385511381

Duncan Taylor Single Cask Bunnahabhain 2008 13 Year Old Cask #385511381 is an exceptional independent bottling of Islay single malt Scotch whisky. Distilled at the renowned Bunnahabhain distillery in 2008, this spirit was carefully matured for 13 years before being selected and bottled as a single cask by the prestigious independent bottler, Duncan Taylor. Bottled without chill-filtration or added coloring, this expression captures the robust, unadulterated character of Bunnahabhain. It beautifully showcases the distillery's signature unpeated coastal maritime influence, delivering a rich maltiness paired with complex layers of dried fruit, toasted nuts, and warming oak spice.

Food Pairing: Smoked seafood, charcuterie boards with cured meats, roasted almonds, dark chocolate, and strong cheeses like aged cheddar or Roquefort.

Tasting Notes : Natural golden amber in appearance with a rich, full-bodied, and slightly oily mouthfeel.

Nose : Coastal sea spray and maritime brine, intertwined with sweet malt, toasted hazelnuts, dried orchard fruits, vanilla, and a gentle earthy oak spice.

Palate : Rich, warming, and robust, delivering complex flavors of caramelized brown sugar, roasted nuts, baked apple, and coastal salinity, perfectly balanced by waves of peppery oak and baking spices.

Finish : Long, warming, and distinctly coastal, leaving lingering notes of sweet malt, salted caramel, and dry oak spice.

Serve : Serve neat in a Glencairn glass. Given its cask strength, adding a few drops of room-temperature water is highly recommended to unlock further fruity aromas and soften the alcohol heat.
