About the Chateau Megyer Dry Szamorodni 500ml
Crafted by the esteemed Château Megyer in the legendary Tokaj region of northeastern Hungary, Dry Szamorodni (Száraz Szamorodni) is one of the most traditional, complex, and historic styles of Tokaji wine. Derived from the Hungarian phrase "as it was born," Szamorodni is produced by harvesting whole grape bunches containing a mix of healthy and botrytized (noble rot) Furmint and Hárslevelű grapes. Unlike sweet Tokaji, this wine is fermented completely dry and aged under a thin veil of flor yeast in deep, subterranean volcanic tuff cellars.
Food Pairing: Aged hard cheeses (such as Comté or Manchego), roasted pork tenderloin, poultry with mushroom sauce, seafood chowder, savory tapas, light curry dishes.
