Drouet et Fils VSOP Grande Champagne Cognac

Drouet et Fils VSOP Grande Champagne Cognac is a single-estate Cognac produced by the Drouet family from vineyards in Grande Champagne, the Premier Cru of Cognac. From vineyard management and harvesting through vinification, distillation, maturation and bottling, production is carried out at the estate. Matured considerably longer than the legal minimum for VSOP, this expression develops an elegant balance between fresh fruit, sweet vanilla, warm spice and mature oak while retaining the freshness and precision characteristic of Grande Champagne.

Food Pairing: Roast pork, duck breast, aged Comte, baked apples, almond tart, dried apricots, toasted almonds, vanilla creme brulee, and lightly spiced desserts.

Tasting Notes: Mahogany with copper highlights, showing a full, velvety and harmonious profile that balances fresh fruit with vanilla, sweet spice and mature woody character.

Nose: Subtle and expressive with crisp apple, vanilla, brown spices and cinnamon stick.

Palate: Beautifully balanced between fresh fruit and sweet vanilla, accompanied by rich, mature wood notes and a smooth, velvety texture.

Finish: Exceptionally long and balanced, with bright acidity and sweetness lingering alongside fruit, vanilla and mature oak.

Serve: Enjoy neat as a digestif or over ice as an aperitif. The producer specifically recommends both serving styles for its VSOP.
