Dram Mor Cuba 12 Year Old 2009 Single Cask Rum

Dràm Mòr Secret Cuban 12 Year Old is a limited-edition single-cask Cuban rum independently selected and bottled by Dràm Mòr. Distilled in 2009 at an undisclosed Cuban distillery, the rum matured for 12 years in a bourbon barrel, Cask #139, before being bottled at a powerful 59% ABV. Only 227 bottles were produced. The bourbon-cask maturation contributes vanilla, toasted sugar and oak alongside the rum’s cane sweetness, citrus, nuts, spice and subtle smoky character. Alberta’s LiquorConnect records the exact product as DRAM MOR CUBA 12 YO 59%, confirming the 700 mL format and 59% strength.

Food Pairing: Dark chocolate, roasted hazelnuts, caramelized banana, crème brûlée, smoked nuts or orange-based desserts.

Tasting Notes: Powerful yet balanced, combining fresh sugar cane and vanilla with orange, toasted brown sugar, oak, nuts and warming spice.

Nose: Vanilla and light oak with fresh cane sweetness, raspberry, green apple, honey and subtle dried fruit.

Palate: Rich vanilla, caramel and toasted sugar accompanied by oak, raisins, banana, white pepper and liquorice.

Finish: Dry and warming with lingering oak, vanilla, caramel, spice and subtle smoky notes.

Serve: Enjoy neat in a tasting glass, allowing it to rest briefly after pouring. At 59% ABV, a small amount of water can help reveal more vanilla, citrus, cane and fruit character.
