About the Dr Loosen Erdener Treppchen Grosses Gewachs 2020
A dry, concentrated Mosel Riesling showing ripe citrus, stone fruit, herbal nuances and a distinct mineral edge. The palate combines depth and structure with bright acidity, precise fruit and a persistent, stony finish.
Food Pairing: Pair with grilled fish, roast poultry, pork tenderloin, shellfish, creamy seafood dishes, or mildly spiced Asian cuisine.
96 Points - James Suckling
Extremely intense, anise nose with plenty of yeast, too. Excellent concentration and breathtaking raciness. Everything focused so tightly and that really lifts the energy level. Very exciting, diamond-bright finish.
93 Points - Wine Enthusiast
Aromatic and juicy, this graceful medium-bodied white offers notes of lavender, hops, bergamot and ripe pear. Very clean, with underlying saline details, accented by hints of baking spice. This lingers on the persistent lush finish. Best after 2026.
90 Points - Wine Spectator
Starts off muted and closed, then opens to reveal sweet nectarine and yellow apple dusted with white pepper, coriander and cumin. Offers a silky palate, where green herbs emerge, with zesty acidity racing along through the finish. Well-crafted and polished. Drink now through 2031.
