Don Julio Reposado Tequila is the legendary flagship expression that effectively established the luxury Reposado category worldwide. Created by the visionary Don Julio González in the Highlands of Jalisco, this spirit represents a meticulous approach to aging. While Mexican law requires a Reposado to rest for a minimum of two months, Don Julio ages theirs for a full eight months in hand-selected American white oak ex-bourbon barrels—nearly four times the legal requirement. This extended time in the wood beautifully rounds out the raw, peppery edge of the estate-grown Highlands agave, adding a sophisticated layer of light caramel and spice without over-extracting the wood or masking the plant's natural citrus vibrancy.
