Domaine Nico Soeur et Freres Grand Mere : Pinot Noir 2022

A delicate and perfumed high-altitude Pinot Noir, the 2022 Grand Mère is sourced from a single parcel in the Villa Bastías district of the Uco Valley at approximately 3,675 feet. This label is dedicated to Laura Catena's French grandmother, Anne-Marie, and aims to capture a feminine, graceful style. The wine presents a translucent ruby color and opens with a charming bouquet of red cherries, wild strawberries, and hints of dried rose petals and white pepper. On the palate, it is light-to-medium bodied and exceptionally silky, showcasing crunchy red fruit flavors balanced by a vibrant, "cool-climate" acidity and very fine-grained tannins. Matured in French oak (20% new), it offers a clean, elegant finish with subtle earthy undertones and a touch of spice.
