Crafted by Mercouri Estate (Ktima Mercouri), an iconic family-owned estate founded in 1860 along the Ionian coast of Korakochori in Peloponnese, Greece, this signature red wine blends Refosco with the native Mavrodaphne grape. The Refosco clone was brought directly from Northern Italy to the estate in the late 19th century, making Mercouri famous for cultivating this unique varietal alongside indigenous Greek grapes. Aged in oak barrels, it showcases a seamless integration of Mediterranean warmth, vibrant red fruit, and subtle oak spice.
