Les Monts Fournois Montagne Verzenay 2015

For many years, Verzenay has been considered one of the finest terroirs in Champagne, along with Aÿ and Mesnil-sur-Oger.

The grapes for this wine come from old vines on north-facing slopes, which contribute to optimal drainage in the field. Unlike the many south-facing slopes in Champagne, with more sun exposure, the wines from here are usually more mineral, structured and "cooler" in expression with razor-sharp acidity and freshness.

The grapes ripen slowly and benefit from a long growing season, which contributes to the complexity.
