Crafted in the famed Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy, France, Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 2019 is a benchmark village-level white Chardonnay produced by the premier estate in Puligny-Montrachet. Sourced from over seven pristine estate-owned village parcels spanning nearly seven hectares—including prime lieux-dits such as Les Houlières, Les Grands Champs, and Les Tremblots—this wine captures the quintessential expression of the appellation. Practicing strict biodynamic viticulture across all holdings, Domaine Leflaive nurtures deep clay-limestone soils rich in active chalk to yield fruit of unparalleled purity, linear drive, and energy. In the warm, solar, yet wonderfully balanced 2019 vintage, hand-harvested grapes underwent gentle long pressing and native yeast fermentation in French oak barrels. Maturation took place for 12 months in oak barriques (15% new oak) followed by 6 months in stainless steel tanks on fine lees, delivering a white Burgundy of supreme elegance, floral precision, and intense mineral tension.
