Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Clavoillon 2007

Crafted in the famed Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy, France, Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru 'Les Clavoillons' 2007 is a legendary, fully mature white Chardonnay produced by the premier estate of Puligny-Montrachet. Bordering iconic Premier Crus such as Les Pucelles and Les Folatières, the 5.6-hectare Les Clavoillons vineyard features clay-rich limestone soils that yield a richer, more opulent expression of Puligny while retaining the domain's hallmark linear minerality and electric tension. Practicing strict biodynamic viticulture, Domaine Leflaive hand-harvested low yields during the classical, cool-climate 2007 vintage—a vintage celebrated by white Burgundy aficionados for its laser-sharp acidity, mineral drive, and incredible cellaring capability. Vinified with native yeasts and aged for 12 months in fine French oak barriques (25% new oak) followed by 6 months in stainless steel tanks on fine lees, this museum-grade bottle represents mature, fully developed Grand-Cru-adjacent Burgundy at its absolute finest.

Food Pairing: Serve on its own as an extraordinary, mature fine wine tasting experience, or pair with butter-poached lobster, pan-seared sea scallops with truffle cream, roasted turbot, veal chops in morrel mushroom sauce, crab cakes, and artisanal French cheeses like aged Comté or Époisses.
