Domaine Leflaive Bourgogne Blanc 2019

Crafted in the famed Côte de Beaune region of Burgundy, France, Domaine Leflaive Bourgogne Blanc 2019 is a benchmark, highly coveted white Chardonnay produced by the world's most iconic Domaine in Puligny-Montrachet. Sourced primarily from biodynamically farmed estate parcels situated within the commune of Puligny-Montrachet (specifically the Les Houlès and Les Parties lieux-dits), this wine offers the precision, mineral tension, and depth typical of Puligny village wines at a remarkably accessible level. Pioneering biodynamic viticulture since 1997, Domaine Leflaive nurtures ancient limestone-clay soils to yield fruit of unparalleled aromatic clarity and energy. In the warm, concentrated 2019 vintage, the hand-harvested grapes underwent gentle long pressing and native yeast fermentation in oak barrels. The wine matured for 12 months in French oak barriques (12% new oak) followed by 6 months in stainless steel tanks on fine lees, capturing a sublime synthesis of rich stone fruit, vibrant acidity, and unmistakable flinty reduction.

Food Pairing: Pan-seared sea scallops, butter-poached lobster, grilled turbot, roast chicken with black truffle butter, crab cakes, goat cheese salad, and artisanal French cheeses such as Comté, Époisses, or Delice de Bourgogne.
