About the Domaine L'Amaurigue White
Crafted in the heart of Provence, France, Domaine L'Amaurigue White is a crisp, highly aromatic Southern French white wine that showcases the elegance and refreshing mineral drive of the Côtes de Provence appellation. Situated on a historic 115-hectare estate surrounded by pine forests and lavender fields near Le Luc en Provence, the vineyard benefits from a unique inland microclimate protected by the Massif des Maures. Sourced from estate vines planted on limestone-clay soils, this cuvée is led by Rolle (Vermentino), the classic star white grape of Provence, often complemented by a touch of Ugni Blanc. The estate practices sustainable viticulture to cultivate healthy, pristine fruit with vibrant natural acidity. Hand-harvested in the cool early morning hours to preserve freshness, the grapes undergo gentle pneumatic pressing and cold settling. Vinification takes place entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats on fine lees with light stirring, locking in pure citrus aromatics, white floral elegance, and a sleek, saline mineral edge.
Food Pairing: Fresh oysters, grilled sea bass with lemon, seared scallops, goat cheese salad (Chèvre), Mediterranean mezze, prawns with garlic and herbs, and light summer pasta dishes.
