About the Domaine La Colombette Chardonnay 750ml
Smooth chardonnay aged for eight months in oak barrels to give it extra body. Aromas of white fruits, fresh butter, honey and light toast, lively with a long palate.
La Colombette was born in 1890 when blacksmith Louis Pugibet fell in love with a winemaker and she gave him his first hectare of vines as a wedding present. His grandson Francois Pugibet modernised the winery in 1966, replacing the horses Louis was so fond of using in the vineyards with modern technology, doing away with herbicides and insecticides and planting more unusual grape varieties.
