Domaine Jamet Côte-Rôtie 'La Landonne' 2022 is an extraordinarily profound, intense, and cellar-worthy single-parcel expression of Syrah, sourced entirely from the steep, iron-rich schist soils of the famous La Landonne lieu-dit. Crafted by Jean-Paul and Corinne Jamet, the wine undergoes traditional whole-cluster fermentation using native yeasts, followed by extended maturation in oak barrels to preserve its raw power and distinct terroir character. In the glass, it presents a deep, inky purple-garnet hue with a complex, brooding bouquet of dark wild berries, black olives, crushed violets, coniferous forest, bay leaf, and smoked meats. On the palate, it is full-bodied, dense, and deeply structured, framed by firm, muscular tannins and a vibrant core of acidity that delivers exceptional persistence and a long, mineral-tinged finish.
