About the Domaine Jamet Condrieu 'Vernillon'
Domaine Jamet Condrieu 'Vernillon' is a remarkably pure, elegant, and mineral-driven white wine crafted by Jean-Paul, Corinne, and Loïc Jamet in the Northern Rhône Valley. Made entirely from Viognier sourced from steep, granite-rich terraced slopes in the southern sector of the Condrieu appellation, principally from the renowned Vernon climat, it is fermented using native yeasts and aged in neutral oak vats and barrels to preserve natural freshness and avoid heavy oak influences. In the glass, it exhibits a pale-gold hue with intensely expressive aromas of fresh white peach, apricot blossom, honeysuckle, candied citrus peel, and crushed granite minerality. On the palate, it is medium-to-full-bodied and texturally rich yet vibrant, balancing plush stone fruit flavors with exceptional granite-driven focus and a long, savory, floral-accented finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with pan-seared sea scallops, lobster in cream sauce, roasted turbot, Thai green curry, roasted poultry with herbs, and aged goat cheese.
