Domaine Fourrier Cote de Nuits-Villages Le Preau Vieille Vigne 2022

Crafted in the famed Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy, France, Domaine Fourrier Côte de Nuits-Villages 'Le Préau' 2022 is an exceptional, highly sought-after red Pinot Noir produced by master vigneron Jean-Marie Fourrier. Sourced from the single lieu-dit Le Préau in Comblanchien at the southern end of the Côte de Nuits, this wine benefits from old vines planted on well-drained clay-limestone soils. Jean-Marie Fourrier applies the same meticulous attention to detail to his village-level wines as he does to his famous Grand Crus: strict yield control, preservation of ancient vines, complete 100% destemming without crushing, and native yeast fermentation. In the generous yet fresh 2022 vintage, the wine matured in fine French oak barrels with no more than 20% new oak to allow the pure fruit character and stony minerality to shine through. Bottled unfined and unfiltered without mechanical pumps, 'Le Préau' routinely punches well above its classification, offering incredible depth, silky texture, and pure Pinot Noir aromatics.

Food Pairing: Roast duck breast with cherry sauce, pan-seared pork tenderloin, roasted chicken, wild mushroom pasta, coq au vin, and artisanal French cheeses like Comté or Brie de Meaux.
