Crafted in the famed Côte de Nuits region of Burgundy, France, Domaine Duroché Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru 'Estournelles-Saint-Jacques' 2023 is an extraordinary, highly coveted red Pinot Noir produced by master vigneron Pierre Duroché. Perched at the top of the steep slope at the mouth of the cool Combe de Lavaux valley, the tiny Estournelles-Saint-Jacques Premier Cru vineyard sits on thin, stony clay-limestone soils over Bajocian limestone bedrock. This elevated microclimate, combined with intense sun exposure and cool mountain breezes, gives the wine its signature high-toned aromatic floral elegance, razor-sharp precision, and energetic mineral drive. Continuing his family's legacy of minimal-intervention winemaking, Pierre Duroché farms these old Pinot Noir vines organically with meticulous attention to detail.
